BREAKING: Evan’s co-defendant, billionaire kidnapper Chiemeka Arinze, has died in jail.

Chiemeka Arinze, a co-defendant with suspected millionaire kidnap kingpin Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike, also known as Evans, died in jail detention.
Evans is on trial with Joseph Emeka, Chiemeka Arinze, and Udeme Upon for the attempted kidnapping of Chief Vincent Obianodo, Chairman of Young Shall Grow Motors, before Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo of an Ikeja Special Offences Court.

They are charged with murder, attempted murder, conspiracy to conduct kidnapping, attempted kidnapping, sale, and transfer of guns, and other offenses.

Chiemeka Arinze died on Friday, November 26, 2021, according to a source who requested anonymity.
According to the source, the late defendant’s attorney filed a bail application with the court last week due to the defendant’s sickness.

According to the source, the resumption of the trial in the case is scheduled for today (Monday), and the bail application was scheduled to be heard before they learned of the defendant’s death.

Arinze, who had been ill, was reportedly transported from the jail to a General Hospital on Friday, where he died.
